Up North.

Yowser, been a glorious weekend, chill'n with the Cole from up north and his wonderful parents. In other words my grandson, daughter and son in law. Most the world could use a shot of "Cole Happiness"

Tomorrow is going to be HOT HOT HUMID HUMID. It is time. It is time for some bicycling suffrage. I have 64 oz of water, 20 oz of V8 juice and a 20 oz diet Mountain Dew in the freezer. I'll need more then double that if riding goes according to plans. I don't like to say my plans because then I won't listen to reason If I should stop if it is a heat killer, seems saying it commits my mindset. Ok, I'll say it. 100 miles on dirt trail tomorrow.
Watching the DVD Bicycle Dreams, (again) If you push yourself on a bike it's must watch. These men and women race across the continental USA. I just heard this comment from one of the racers.
"I want to learn about myself, I want to learn how far I can go."

I found this picture on the web. It is RAGBRAI this year and Potter Hill. Most are walking. I enjoyed the hill, it took hard work, but walking would have been not easy on my mind, so I rode. I took my dirt bike up Potter Hill earlier in the week before I rode it with the RAGBRATS on Saturday.

I do need to climb this more often, I was hitting heart rates I seldom hit.

And here is Cole, Henry the dog, my daugther Melissa, and my honey Birgit up in Lakeville Mn today.

Why is everybody looking at me?

Ride ON

Hope you have a great day, I do envy your ability to make so much time for yourself to ride. Not sure I fancy the humidity in your part of the world, but creating your own breeze on the bike must help. Hope you can provide some pictures for us all.
Cheers

Is that hill steep because the pictures never give it proper steepness??

Hope you had fun with the family! Enjoy your ride today!

Thanks Mr. H.L.

Thanks Clive.

Yeap WelshC. After I quit rais'n kiddies, my spare time quad-droopled. :-). Well ummm you probably never really stop rais'n em but they are all over 21 now.

Mr. Bill G. This part of the hill is where it started to level out. Most people were dying down in the 19% climb area.

You can keep the heat and humidity.

How steep is that hill? Super man I'm not, but I've never pushed a bike up a paved hill ever.

Cute kid !
