Dead Coyote, Ski Slopes, and night arriving.

Don't know what happened to this critter. But he is not doing so well. R.I.P. Mr. Coyote.
Rode 62 miles country style. Did not run into another rider the whole time. I for the life of me can never understand why more people do not get out and do this. Oh well most wonder why I get out and do this. Below picture is of Sundown Ski making snow.

Getting late sun going down early these days, my fluids were turning into ice slush.

I take this path to get out of town, and avoid the highway and 4000 lb buckets of steel traveling 60 mph, inches from me.

Still damages from the June flood of 2008.
Well I hope tomorrow brings more of the same. So get on your bikes and ride.
Happy trails
Dave

Hey Dave,
Looks like we'll be riding in the snow in another couple of days, if the weather guys are right. I've got a cross and a hardtail that I use in the snowy conditions, but I'm a roadie through and through. I think I'll venture out on it today. I like your blog. I'll be a regular.

Hi Tom. Thanks for the Blog visit. I probably ride half pavement half dirt. There is something to be said about the speed and acceleration with a light weight road bike on pavement.Especially If I have been riding dirt for awhile. Are those chemical hand and foot warmers you have on your blog pictures? If so do you have a link or brand name. Keeping feet and hands warm for me to ride Iowa winters is a challenge.
