Another one,

Took a half day off, wanted to see how that would work for the continuation of my quest for no good reason, 100 gravel metrics in 2010.

Worked just fine. So I figure I can stretch my remaining vacation days while there is enough day light and do the half day off rides.

I was tired, couldn't maintain good heart rates, so I just trudged along, good training to ride "tired" sometimes. 5 gravel metrics in the last 7 days.

Weather was absolutely perfect, adds to the energy banks when your not overheating.
Stopping for some drinks here at the half way point, well heck it's 5:00 somewhere.

Even got to see some buffalo on today's ride. I love riding country style.

Now the peculiar thing is I am waiting to do er again, a double this weekend. I Hope I can ride em harder then I managed today. :-)
Hope you had some fun today too.

Dave

So with all those miles under your.....saddle (fooled ya) do you sing to yourself while riding, whistle, talk to yourself. What on earth goes through your head while riding by yourself for so many miles????

Yes I had some fun today, if only reading your blog, it brightens my day, and encourages me to pursue my own goals. Bad news is, I couldn't get out there fo a ride, itching to go tomorrow now.
Cheers.

Dear T.T.
That is a good question. Yes, I have on occcasion sang inspired by IPOD tunes. I'll have to think more about this and reply.
However there is one universal thought that occurs near the end of most long rides, and that is..................................................................................................................I CAN'T WAIT TO GET OFF THIS DAMN BIKE!!!!!! :-)
